Bush to reflect on semester in Ukraine
Dr. Perry Bush, a Bluffton University professor of history, will discuss his semester as a Fulbright scholar in Ukraine during a Bluffton colloquium at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall. His presentation, “Lecturing down the Dnipro: A Semester in Ukraine” is free and open to the public.
Bush, his wife and their younger daughter spent spring semester 2012 in Ukraine, where he taught at Zaparozhye National University. He will address their lives and his teaching experience there, as well as Ukraine’s Mennonite heritage and the transformation of its economy and political system from its past as part of the Soviet Union.
