Pete Steiner was a 1955 graduate of Bluffton High School
David "Pete" L. Steiner, 75, died on Feb. 24, 2013, at his residence. On April 3, 1937 he was born in Bluffton to Oliver R. and Helen L. Mumma Steiner, who proceeded him in death. On July 29, 1956, he married Nancy S. Andrews who survives in Bluffton.
Pete was a 1955 graduate of the Bluffton High School. He had worked for 37 years at the Lima Ford Engine Plant and retired in 1995 at the age of 57. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bluffton.
He is survived by a son, Randy Steiner, and a daughter, Jennifer (Mike Burner) Steiner- Burner, all of Bluffton. Two grandchildren; Olivia and Mackaid Burner. He has a sister, Sharon (Chuck) Bishop, of Findlay and brother and sister in-laws, Bill and Shirley Andrews of Rawson.
He was proceeded in death by a step father, Cleon Steiner.
Visitation will be held at the Chiles-Laman Bluffton Chapel on Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 11:00 a.m. Following will be the internment at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Officiating will be Rev. Bryant Miller. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Putnam Go. Hospice. Condolences may be expressed at chiles-lamanfh.com
