Senior Citizen-Lions pancake benefit March 23 - tickets now on sale - plus Corvette car raffle launched

The Bluffton Senior Citizens Center and Bluffton Lion’s Club Foundation will hold their 31st annual Pancake and Sausage Benefit on Saturday, March 23, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Benefit will be held at the Bluffton Senior Center at 132 N. Main St. The meal includes all the pancakes you can eat, whole hog sausage, applesauce, and coffee, tea, milk or juice.

Tickets are $6.50 and children through 5 years of age are free with a paying adult. Tickets are available at the door or from a Lion’s Club member or the Senior Center.

In addition, at 10 a.m. the Bluffton Lions Club Foundation Corvette car raffle for 2013 wil be unveiled. This year's Corvette will be on display outside the Senior Center. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the event.

Local musicians will entertain throughout the meal starting with:
• Scott Edwards will play the organ at 7 a.m. 
• Joanne Niswander will play the piano at 8 a.m..
• Jimmy Fruchey will play the piano at 9 a.m. 
• Marilyn Wymer will play the accordion at 10 a.m. 
• Philip Murphy will play the guitar and sing at 11 a.m. 
• Songbird Sue will finish the day at noon.

There will be door prizes throughout the day. Anyone buying a ticket to eat will have a chance to win a prize. You need not be present to win. The Lion’s Club and Senior Center are still excepting door prizes from area business. These can be dropped off at the Senior Center during business hours. The 31-year partnership helps both organizations.
