Vocalist to present senior recital March 24
Vocalist Kim (Rupert) Cornelius will perform her Bluffton University senior recital at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 24, in Yoder Recital Hall. The recital is free and open to the public; a reception will follow in the lobby.
The Ottawa native, a soprano, will sing numbers by Vivaldi, Saint-Saëns and Joseph Marx, plus “Don’t Rain on My Parade” from “Funny Girl,” “Ain’t It a Pretty Night” from the opera “Susannah” and Moses Hogan’s “Give Me Jesus.”
Pianist Allison Ringold will accompany Cornelius, a voice student of Dr. Crystal Sellers Battle, an assistant professor of music at Bluffton. The recital is presented in partial fulfillment of Cornelius’s requirements for graduation with a major in music and a concentration in performance studies.
