Eggcellent Adventure March 23 at Apollo Career Center
Apollo Career Center invites the community to its first Eggcellent Adventure, Saturday, March 23. Activities for the whole family begin at 7:30 a.m., culminating with a 10,000 egg, egg hunt on the front lawn of the Career Center. The grand prize will be a lucky winner and their family winning a trip to Disney (family of four ).
A pancake breakfast will be served 7:30-11:00 a.m. and includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage and lemonade, adults: $5, and kids under 10, $3. Other food items available include shredded pork, hot dogs, chips, pop, coffee, water and hot chocolate.
A 5K Bunny Bolt will be held with registration beginning at 8 a.m., and the race starting at 9 a.m. The entry fee for the 5K is $25, and includes a t-shirt, medallion, and free pancake breakfast.
From 8:30-11:00 a.m. there will be many activities for children including face painting, coloring, and cookie decorating. In addition, there will be a reader’s theatre, and UltraSound’s zoo-themed bounce house.
The Eggcellent Adventure egg hunt starts at 10:30 a.m. on the front lawn of Apollo Career Center. 10,000 Eggs filled with toys and candy will be hidden in three roped off areas for the three age groups. Children ages 0-4 (with parental assistance), 5-8 and 9-12 will be hunting for the one egg in each age category that holds the golden ticket. Three golden tickets will lead to one lucky winner of a grand prize featuring a family of four vacation to Disney.
Partnering with Clear Channel, sponsors of the event include Tuttle Construction, Inc., Touchstone CPM, Burgundy’s Italian Grill, and Friends of Apollo.
