Bluffton baseball, softball aim to ‘Strike Out Cancer’ April 16
Bluffton University’s baseball and softball teams will do their part to help “Strike Out Cancer” at their home games on Tuesday, April 16.
The softball team will host Manchester in a doubleheader beginning at 3:30 p.m., while the first pitch of the baseball game against Defiance will be at 4:15 p.m. at Memorial Field. Special pink shirts will be sold as part of the American Cancer Society fundraiser, and cookout food will be available.
A moment of silence will be observed before the games, and a balloon release is scheduled between games of the softball doubleheader, in memory of those who have lost their lives to cancer.
