Glen Blosser served on Van Buren Township trustees for 28 years
Glenn M. Blosser, 87, of Bluffton died at 1:30 a.m., April 22, 2013 at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. He was born Oct. 26, 1925, in New Stark to Paul and Grace Hostetler Blosser. On March 19, 1955, he married Mary Rich and she survives.
Mr. Blosser was a retired farmer and a Van Buren Township trustee for 28 years. He was a member of First Mennonite Church, Bluffton, where he sang in the choir. He served on the Hancock County Regional Planning Commission. He was a WWII Army veteran and helped organize an Honor Flight for area veterans to visit the WWII Memorial in Washington, DC. He was a 1943 graduate of Rawson High School.
Survivors also include two sons, Gary (Lisa) Blosser of Lima, Larry Blosser of New Stark, and three grandchildren, Shelby Blosser of Oklahoma City, Ok., and Daniel Blosser and Michael Blosser both of Lima. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Marlin Blosser.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Rev. Steven J. Yoder and Rev. Louise Wideman will officiate. Burial will be in Hasson Cemetery, Van Buren Township.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com
