Margaret "Peg" Dukes, 1933-2013
Margaret “Peg” J. Dukes, 79, of Pandora, died in her home on April 23, 2013. She was born June 25, 1933, in Findlay, Ohio, to the late Daniel and Edna (Boalo) Fox. She married Richard D. Dukes on Nov. 21, 1954, who survives in Pandora.
She was a homemaker and a life-long member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 20 years.
Survivors include a son Richard L. (Donna) Dukes; daughters Beth (John) Lee, Dana Dukes-Norton (Brian), all of Pandora; and Judy Dukes, of Leipsic.
Eleven grandchildren include Drew (Laura) Dukes of Findlay; Derek Dukes of Bluffton; Erin (Ben) Amstutz of Tennessee; Megan (Eric) Wentz of Gilboa; Amber, Nathan, and Ryan Lee of Pandora; Nick, Sydney, and Samuel Norton of Pandora; and Tylee Dukes of Leipsic.
Seven great grandchildren include Lane Lee; Aubrey and Tucker Wentz; Kellen and Kayne Amstutz; and Grayson and Claire Dukes. She is also survived by her sister Betty (Fox) Harpst, and sister-in-law Cleo Fox.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Dan and James Fox, and sister-in-law. Mary Fox.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Pleasant View United Methodist Church, Mt. Cory. Revs. David Havens and Jerry Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Dukes Cemetery, Mt. Cory. Friends and family may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
