Daryl Amstutz was a graduate of Mt. Cory High School
Daryl L. Amstutz, 85, died at 2:20 a.m. April 26, 2013, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. He was born Aug. 1, 1927, in Orange Township, Bluffton to the late Samuel F. and Carrie Z. (Ewing) Amstutz.
On July 1, 1945 he married Eileen M. Steiner and she survives.
Mr. Amstutz retired as an inspector at Lima Ford Engine Plant. He was a member of Pandora United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Mt. Cory High School.
Survivors also include two sons Ronald D. (Patty) Amstutz of Columbus Grove, Kenneth (Christine) Amstutz of Van Wert; a daughter Dianne (Larry) Wendt of Napoleon; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Two brothers Russell and Morris Amstutz; three sisters Wava Bixel, Ruby Amstutz and Doris Settlemeyer; and a daughter-in-law Mary Amstutz preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pandora United Methodist Church. Rev. Duane Kemerley officiating. Burial will be in Harman Cemetery near Gilboa. Friends and family may call Sunday from 2-7 p,m, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pandora United Methodist Church, Bluffton Senior Citizens Center or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
