Jacob Biery, Cory-Rawson student, receives agri-business scholarship
The Findlay·Hancock County Chamber Agri-Business Committee has awarded seven $500 scholarships to Hancock County students who are planning to, or already pursuing, a career in an agriculturally related field. The scholarships were funded with money raised from the committee’s annual Farmers’ Share Breakfast at Brugeman Lodge at Riverbend and Fresh Whole Hog Sausage Sale.

• Jacob Biery, Cory Rawson High School, who plans to attend the University of Northwest Ohio to pursue a major in Diesel Mechanics;
• Justin Bower, Arlington High School, who plans to attend The Ohio State University-Lima majoring in Agri-Science Education;
• Jesse Eckert, Findlay High School, who plans to attend The Ohio State University majoring in Culinary Science;
• Britta Fenstermaker, McComb High School, who plans to attend The Ohio State University ATI and major in Livestock Production & Management/Agronomy;
• Catlin Pauley, Riverdale High School, who plans to attend Wilmington College majoring in Agricultural Education/Agronomy;
• Michael Tong, Arcadia High School, who plans to attend the University of Northwest Ohio majoring in Agricultural Equipment Technology; and
• Caitlin Streacker, graduate of Findlay High School, attending the The University of Findlay majoring in Pre-Vet/Animal Science.
Members of the Agri-business committee will present the winners with their awards at ceremonies held throughout the month of May.
