BFR offers youth adventure summer camp and fun fitness class
BFR Sports and Fitnesss announces two summer programs for youth with sign-up now underway, according to Carole Enneking, director.
Fun Fitness class
An evening exercise option for youth is being introduced at BFR this June. Kelly Honse will lead Fun Fitness for youth who have completed kindergarten through grade 2. The weekly program will meet on Tuesdays in June from 6-7 p.m.
Activities will include hiking, yoga, biking, running and tumbling, plus a healthy snack will be provided. Kids should bring their own water bottle to each class. Cost for the four sessions is $25 ($15 BFR member); a minimum of four will be required. Contact BFR, by calling 419-358-4150 to register.
Adventure camps
Area children (ages 4, 5 or 6) are invited to participate in a variety of mini-camps this summer.
Adventure Camp is a 90-minute, theme-based program offered on Thursday mornings from 9-10:30 a.m. Campers will be active, plus create a take-home craft, and eat a theme-related snack. Camp activities will be held outdoors as well as inside the BFR facility.
Camps will be offered on:
• June 6 (fairy tales),
• June 13 (sports),
• July 27 (animals),
• July 18 (pajama party) and
• Aug. 1 (Disney).
