Bernice Oberly Reichenbach worked at Triplett Corp. for over 20 years
Bernice Marie Oberly Reichenbach, 88, died at 9:35 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Willow Ridge, Bluffton.
She was born in Putnam County, Ohio, on June 29, 1924, to Reno and Bertha Hochstettler Oberly, who preceded her in death. On December 17, 1944, she married Fred Reichenbach, who died July 24, 1998.
Mrs. Reichenbach was a 1942 graduate of Mt. Cory High School. She worked at Electric Auto Lite in Toledo and at Millagers’ Pharmacy in Bluffton.
She retired from Triplett Corp. in Bluffton, after working there more than 20 years.
Mrs. Reichenbach was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton. She had been a member of Garden Study Club.
Survivors include three children, a son, Norman (Linda) Reichenbach, of rural Ada; two daughters, Linda (Dave) Burkholder, of St. Marys; and Rhonda (Curt) PallasDowney, of Cottonwood, AZ; ten grandchildren, Gregory (Lubna) Reichenbach, Daryl (Nancy) Reichenbach, Chad (Angie) Reichenbach, Heather Smith, Timothy (Wendi) Burkholder, Sarah PallasDowney, Courtney Downey, Tonja Downey, Jenny Downey, and Adam (Vicki) Downey; fourteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim and Wade (Carolyn) Oberly, both of Bluffton; and two sisters, Dorothy Porter of Findlay and Marilyn (Reldon) Schirch of Fountain Hills, AZ.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie (Margie) Davis; a sister-in-law, Betty Oberly; and two brothers-in-law, Frank (Smokie) Porter and Joe Davis.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 29 at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor David Plant will officiate.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel United Church of Christ or Mennonite Memorial Home.
