Walter Hartley 1950-2013
Walter L. Hartley, 63 died at 10:55 a.m. June 10, 2013, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born Jan. 13, 1950, in Hancock County to the late Leroy and Helen (Snyder) Hartley. On Oct. 13, 1991 he married Linda Dillon and she survives.
He had worked as a maintenance man at 1 Amazing Place, Findlay. He had previously worked at Centrex and had done construction work for W.R. Manley both of Findlay.
Survivors also include four sons Michael Hartley of Fostoria, Walter (Jayme) Hartley Jr. of Findlay, Greg (Kat) Hartley of Findlay, Matthew (Bri) Hartley of Mt. Blanchard; two daughters Desiree VanSickle of Cincinnati, Angie Dominique of Findlay; seven grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; three brothers Dave (Vicky) Hartley of Arlington, Ronald (Judy) Hartley of Fostoria, Al (Rindy) Hartley of Findlay; and three sisters Irene (Pat) Sterling of Findlay, Dorothy Heldman of Findlay, Sirena (Dave) Daniels of Arcadia.
A Memorial Dinner will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Orange Township Hall at the corner of County Road 28 and State Route 235. There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held at Thompson Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
