Look what BFR has planned for this weekend's Relay for Life
BFR Sports and Fitness has some special events planned for this weekend's Bluffton Relay for Life, according to Carole Enneking, director.
The event is held Friday evening, June 21, through Saturday, June 22, at noon, at Saltzman Stadium at Bluffton University.
Family Fun Area (Friday, 6-9 p.m.) - The inflatables will be in this area as well as informal games. To enter and play, each child must have a wristband (donation $5) and signed waiver; the wristband applies only to activities in this area-games at team tents will require separate donations.
BFR will provide an obstacle course (for young children aswell as elementary age), Tic Tac Toe (frisbees for older youth/adults and bean bags for younger children), and a Frisbee golf course. The Frisbee golf course will be challenging for older youth and adults (or families playing a scamble style).
In addition, there will be Sholf (a golf-putting game) and a washers game set up.
Enneking is encouraging persons who attend the Relay to bring coins (preferably quarters) to line the outside of the track.
Team Blue will have team members at the track after the survivor lap to direct the "quarters for a cure."
Enneking asks: "How far around the track can we collectively get and how much of a donation to Relay will that be when counted?"
