Smaller (35 gallon) refuse and recycling totes available from village
NEW RECYCLING AND REFUSE GUIDELINES LISTED AT BOTTOM OF THIS STORY.
As the new refuse and recycling rules have taken affect, several Bluffton customers have asked the village if smaller capacity garbage totes are an option.
According to Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, Republic Services has acquired several 35-gallon totes. He said that the village is accepting requests for the small totes as they come in and are coordinating delivery for those smaller totes.
Republic earlier provided all recycling-refuse customers with 96-gallon blue trash totes and 65-gallon green recycle totes.
The totes information is part of Monday’s council packet, which is an attachment to this story.
To assist refuse and recycling customers, The Icon has again posted the information about the new procedures that started on June 1. That information is also found in attachments at the bottom of this story
