Rosemary Smith was a 1972 graduate of Bluffton High School
Rosemary "Rose" Smith, 59, of Bluffton died at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was born on April 21, 1954 to the late Harry W. and Hildegarde (Schmogil) Klay in Bluffton. Rose married Douglas D. Smith on June 24, 1978, and he survives.
She is also survived by a brother-in-law, David (Brenda) Smith of New Albany; two nieces, Angela (Luke) Slater of Johnston, and Katrina Couch of Columbus and best friend, Sue Fett of Bluffton.
She graduated from Bluffton High School in 1972. She worked in Environmental Services for Blanchard Valley Hospital for 34 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bluffton. She was a former member of the Bluffton Lions Club and was involved with the Greater Northwest Ohio Diabetes Camp.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the funeral home with
visitation one hour (10-11 a.m.) prior to the service. Pastor Bob Cochran will officiate and burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery.
