Raymond Nesler was a retired farmer
Raymond E. Nesler, 88 died July 20, 2013, at Ohio Veteran's Home, Sandusky. He was born Aug. 4, 1924, in Hancock County to the late Clarence and Verna (Longbrake) Nesler.
On Aug. 14, 1949, he married Mary Ellen Boehm and she survives. Raymond was a retired farmer and had also been a gasoline distributor. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jenera. He enjoyed working with draft horses and refinishing furniture. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II where he received a Purple Heart.
Survivors also include a son Steven (Marsha) Nesler of Findlay; a daughter Rebecca Lynn (Keith) McClelland of Findlay; two granddaughters Emily G. Nesler, Sarah L. McClelland; and a grandson Kyle A. Nesler.
A brother Richard Dean Nesler preceded him in death.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Steven Edmiston officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
