Margaret Herr, 95, was a graduate of Bluffton High School
Margaret L. Herr, 95, died Aug. 1, 2013, at 2:25 p.m. at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born Jan. 22, 1918, in Bluffton to the late Clarence and Esther (Slusser) Jones. On Nov. 1, 1939 she married William M. Herr and he survives.
Mrs. Herr was a homemaker, farm wife and had worked at Triplett Corp., Bluffton. She was a life long member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. She had been a 4-H advisor. She was a graduate of Bluffton High School.
Survivors also include four daughters Louise (Jack) Shoupe of Bluffton, Carole Kelley of Bluffton, Jayne (Charles) Huffman of Pandora; Shari (Tony) Schwab of Pandora; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother David (Madra) Jones of Findlay; two sisters Martha Beach of Bluffton, Ruth Amstutz of Grangeville, Idaho; a daughter-in-law Julie Herr of Bluffton; and a sister-in-law Joan Jones of Bluffton.
A son, Gary Herr; brother Clarence Jones; and a sister, Alice Wingate, preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Revs. Dick Potter and Charles Warren officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer Mennonite Church Missions Fund.
