Ada's Farmers' and Merchants' Picnic celebrates 100th year this weekend
Bluffton's neighbor, Ada, is celebrating its oldest community event this weekend. It's the 100th anniversary year for the Ada Farmers' and Merchants' Picnic.
The Icon's sister publication, Ada Icon, provides this schedule for Ada's weekend events. The two-day event at the War Memorial Park takes place Friday and Saturday, Aug. 9-10.
Here’s this year’s schedule:
Friday, Aug. 9
• 5 p.m. – Gates open Party in the Back 40 – Exploit of Lima, on stage from 8 p.m. to midnight
• 7 p.m. – Corn hole tournament, Back 40, east of park
• 7 p.m. Pulls

• 11 a.m. – Pedal tractor pull for kids, Main Stage
• Noon – Golf cart pull
• All afternoon, Main Stage entertainment
• 1:30 p.m. – Corn hole tournament, Back 40 east of park

• More entertainment all day – chain saw carving, casino wheel, Bingo, 4-H petting zoo, Bessie Bingo, greased pig contest (1 hour after horse show - $1 kids, $5 adults)
