Bluffton Police log for July
July 3
-An Eastland Dr. Resident reported that he believed his neighbor had killed his cat.
July 4
-Police responded to a traffic crash at the SR 103 Storage in regards to someone driving a car into the building.
July 5
-Police were called to a Lake St. Residence in response to a child custody dispute.
July 6
- Police arrested Kalyn Dyer, 24, Ada for Physical Control following an investigative traffic stop in the parking lot of a SR 103 Business. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
July 8
-Police responded to a non-injury traffic crash at the intersection of Elm St. and Lawn Ave. Margie Geiger, 77, Bluffton was issued a citation for Failure to Yeild the Right of Way and the case was handled through Bluffton Mayor’s Court.
-Police responded to an unruly juvenile complaint at a SR 103 Residence.
July 9
-Police again responded to the same SR 103 Residence as the previous night in regards to an unruly juvenile.
July 11
-A N. Main St. Business reported that someone had claimed to be the power company and scammed them out of money for a phony bill.
July 13
-Police responded to a car/deer traffic crash in the area of SR 30 and Peevee Road.
July 14
-A Mound St. Resident reported that a neighbor’s dog was running loose and chasing passersby and acting aggressive.
-A N. Dixie Hwy Resident reported that someone had stolen medications from a vehicle parked at her residence.
-A juvenile from Columbus Grove was issued a citation for Driving Without a License following a traffic crash in the parking lot of a N. Main St. Business.
July 16
-Police responded to a SR 103 Business where the owner had discovered someone had stolen a sign from the property.
-Police responded to a Snider Rd Business and took a Criminal Damaging complaint from the owner of a vehicle who stated that someone had “keyed” his vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot.
July 17
-Police responded to a complaint of an unwanted person being at a residence on County Line Rd and refusing to leave.
July 18
-A SR 103 Business reported that someone had used a stolen credit card to make a purchase.
July 19
-A Pandora Resident filed a complaint in response to a local business owing him money.
July 22
-A Columbus Grove Resident filed a complaint in response to a local business owing her money.
-While assisting the Fire Department with a reported electrical fire at a N. Main St. Residence, police discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the residence.
July 24
-Officers responded to an unwanted guest complaint at a SR 103 Business. While handling the complaint, Officers arrested John Maser, 34, Linden, MI for Intoxication.
July 26
-Police responded to a University parking lot where unknown persons had caused damage to a school bus parked there.
July 27
-Police were called to a Riley St. Residence in response to an unruly juvenile.
July 29
-A Cherry St. Resident reported that her neighbor had fired a possible pellet gun and it nearly struck her.
July 31
-Officers were called to a Domestic Dispute in the parking lot of a SR 103 Business.
