End-of-summer, start-of-fall weekend events in Bluffton

• Jeanne's Kitchen on Vine Street will hold an "end of summer cook-out" on Saturday, Aug. 24.
“We will serve dinner on Saturday night instead of Friday. Smoke Master Mark Bedell will be grilling ribs, chicken, sausage, and pulled pork. We will have cole slaw, baked beans and corn on the cob,” Jeanne Previte told The Icon.
“Dinner hours are 5-7:30 p.m. No reservation is necessary. We hope to be outside and inside,” she added.
• The Bluffton Community Swimming Pool will be open Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 24-25, from 1 to 6 p.m., each day. Sunday, Aug. 25 is the final day for the pool this season.
• Bluffton University will hold its annual "Dancing in the Street" on Main
Street, Sunday, Aug. 25, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. as part of new student orientation.
• The first day of the 2013-14 school year for Bluffton Exempted Village Schools and Bluffton University is Monday, Aug. 26.
