BFR hosts Craft and Home Business Expo Sept. 28
BFR Sports & Fitness will host a day-long exhibition of craft vendors and home business consultants on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.. An admission fee of $1 will be charged at the door as a donation toward operations of the Bluffton-based recreation center. The Expo is one of many events scheduled on Bluffton’s Fall Festival Day.
The Craft and Home Business Expo will feature booths of hand-made craft items as well as a variety of products from national companies representing beauty and skincare, candles, scrapbooking, books, jewelry, purses, home décor, storage and cooking products.
Demonstrations will be provided by several area representatives through out the day. John
Guagenti, On the Track Carvings, will create hand-carved art during the Expo. Guagenti will have a tent set up outdoors for his chainsaw carvings. The Expo will be the first time for Guagenti to demonstrate his skills in his hometown of Bluffton.
Rawson native, Gen Akroyd will educate participants on personal safety techniques and the products available from Damsel in Defense.
Chris Kussmaul of Arlington will work with those in attendance to create cards using Stampin Up products.
Chris Shepherd of Findlay will demonstrate educational and fun ways (Usborne Books and More) to involve reading in children’s lives.
A variety of handcrafted items, including seasonal items, will be included at the Expo.
Kimberly Hansen of Bluffton will showcase hand-knitted accessory items from her Yarnincozy line along with Amanda Stechschulte (Forever Snuggles).
Other Bluffton area craft vendors are Jean Ludwig and Rachel Schutze (Bows 2 Toes crafts and more) displaying hair bows, Pat Cox with handmade semi precious jewelry, and Jan Edman of Forget Me Not Photograhpy Studio. Edman will display options for albums, business cards, invitations, framing as well as information about individual and family portraits.
Judy Siefert of Bowling Green will be selling handmade quilts and wall hangings. Judy Haas, Findlay, will display her handcrafted Pandora style beads and accessories. Maria Croft, Lima, will have flannel baby blankets, burp and dish cloths, rugs, dog toys as well as Halloween items.
Representatives from the following companies will be selling at the Expo: AdvoCare, Arbonne, It Works, Lia Sophia, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Miche Purses, Origami Owl, Pampered Chef, Paparazzi Accessories, PartyLite, Premiere Jewelry, Scentsy, Stampin Up, Tastefully Simple, Thirty One Gifts, Uppercase Living, and Wildtree.
