On Sunday night watch Miss Minnesota - she's an ONU student
Imagine this!
Miss Minnesota, Rebecca Yeh, 20, an Ohio Northern University student, won the $2,000 scholarship in the talent competition in the Miss America contest, held Thursday night in Atlantic City.
She performed a violin solo and is reported to have said, "I'm going to sleep with this," while holding her award after the competition.
Yeh, who wants to be a pharmacist, said she has no plans to pursue a career in music, but loves playing the violin for others. She began taking lessons at 4 years of age because she was trying to keep up with her older brother, she said.
The Miss America pageant is on ABC television at 9 p.m. on Sunday.
