Richard Schwab had retired from Ford after 34 years
Richard E. Schwab, 74 died at his residence on Sept. 27, 2013. He was born Oct. 17, 1938 in Ottawa, Ohio, to the late Leonard W. and Frances G. (Conine) Schwab. On Nov. 19, 1960 he married Mary Powell Schwab and she survives.
He retired from Lima Ford Engine Plant in 1991 after 34 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors also include three sons Tony (Shari) Schwab, Tom (Laura) Schwab, Ron (Allison) Schwab all of Pandora; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother Don (Shirleen) Schwab of Pandora; and two sisters Mary Lou Davies of Findlay, Deb Shaw of Lima.
He was preceded in death by two brothers John and Clarence Schwab; and two sisters Joan Scarberry and Donna Oman.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Bob Wood officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice.
