September weather pretty normal, pretty fall
The autumnal equinox has passed and the shift has begun. As it went, the month of September looked a lot like summer-into-fall would look. Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer, provided the Icon the following information on September's weather:
The highest daytime temperature was a scorching 97 degrees on Tuesday, September 10. September 10 was also the day of the highest night time temperature of 74 degrees.
The lowest daytime temperature in September was a mild 64 degrees on Monday, September 23. The lowest nighttime temp was a chilling 39 degrees on Saturday, September 14.
For those keeping track, the month saw a overall temperature swing of 58 degrees.
Precipitation was relatively low overall for the month with only 2.24 inches of rain in September. Over half of that total fell on one day, when it rained 1.16 inches on Friday, September 20.
