BFR offers options to reach a healthy body image - we're talking to you!
Two options are now offered by BFR Sports & Fitness for persons looking for assistance with body weight management, according to Carole Enneking, BFR director.
"Those looking for accountability through weekly weigh-ins and group meetings may join the Fit4Life Support Group. Individuals who are looking to lose weight through exercise and healthy life choices may join BFR as a Fit4Life Member," she said.
The Fit4Life Support program includes: weekly weigh-ins, plus one learning meeting and one active meeting each month (1st and 3rd Monday evenings).
Participants will learn about nutrition and motivation, plus be introduced to a variety of exercise and stretching options during the group meetings.
Participants may weigh-in at BFR at anytime during the week and will receive incentives based on their weight maintenance or loss. The next meeting of the Fit4Life group is Monday, Oct. 7 at 5:30 p.m. in the Bluffton Elementary School. Cost for the Fit4Life Support is $20 per month ($10 per month for BFR members); new group members may join at anytime.
The Fit 4 Life Membership includes a six-week membership to the facility; all member benefits apply during this period. The membership will begin with a consultation session with a BFR trainer to record starting weight and measurements.
Fit4Life members will have an individualized workout designed for them (including exercise sessions at BFR or at home) as well as weekly training sessions. Trainers will also provide information about caloric needs so participants can make changes in their eating habits.
The Fit4Life package also includes a four visit Any Class Fitness Card, and six weeks of the Fit4Life Support program. Cost for the package is $72 plus tax. Memberships can be started at any time.
What you'll find at BFR
The BFR facility offers treadmills, bikes, elliptical trainers, and indoor track for a cardio-vascular workouts, free weights and weight machines for strength training and toning, plus a mat area for floor exercises.
In addition to the Fitness Center, the BFR offers an indoor walking/running track, turf arena and gymnasium. BFR also offers fitness classes for allages and abilities.
