Services for Esther Luginbuhl on Monday
Esther P. Luginbuhl, 92, died at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton on Nov. 28, 2013. She was born Jan. 30, 1921 in Mount Blanchard to George and Naomi Crawford Shoemaker, who preceded her in death. On May 16, 1943 she married Delbert Luginbuhl who preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1987.
Mrs. Luginbuhl graduated from Pandora High School in 1939. She worked in a variety of places during the years, including Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton University, Urich's IGA, and Triplett Corporation. She was a member of First Mennonite Church, Bluffton.
Living family include two daughters, Diane (Jim) Bleam of Macungie, Pennsylvania; Jane (Jim) Weaver of Bluffton; two sons, Roger (Pattie) Luginbuhl and Ron (Cindy) Luginbuhl both of Bluffton; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Ruth) Shoemaker of Pandora and a sister, Marilyn (John) Beckler of Bluffton. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Shoemaker and a sister, Ruth Williams.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at First Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Pastors Louise Wideman and Steven J. Yoder will officiate. Private burial will be in Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery preceded the services.
Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Memorial contributions may be made to First Mennonite Church or Mennonite Memorial Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
