Hey, seniors! BFR's Silver Sneakers Fitness Program is just for you
BFR Director, Carole Enneking, reminds community members that the BFR Sports and Fitness is a partner in the Silver Sneakers Fitness Program.
Silver Sneakers is a network of fitness facilities across the United States that offer free memberships to senior adults who have qualifying insurance plans. Currently, BFR has 145 Silver Sneakers members using its facility.
Members may use the fitness center and indoor track, as well as take advantage of member pricing for Senior Fitness Classes and training services. BFR staff trainers meet with Silver Sneakers members to develop an appropriate exercise plan. Silver Sneakers members are invited to a monthly breakfast program at BFR and can use the services of over 1,000 facilities across the United States.
The open enrollment period for Medicare Supplemental Insurance policies ends on Dec. 7. Individuals who are not sure if their current plan includes Silver Sneakers are encouraged to call BFR 419-358-4150; BFR staff can check eligibility over the Silver Sneakers Portal.
Retired Ohio School teachers are included as well as those with coverage through AARP and Humana, among others. For more information about BFR programs and services, contact the facility by calling 419-358-4150 or stopping by the facility located at 215 Snider Road in Bluffton.
