Nine holiday concerts on Bluffton's calendar - here's the list
It’s Christmas concert season. Monday launched the concerts as the Bluffton 4th and 5th grade band and strings performed in the middle school cafetorium. This week and next week everyone in Bluffton will be humming holiday tunes.
Here's the schedule:
On Friday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Yoder Recital Hall is the Bluffton University Christmas concert.
On Sunday, Dec. 8, at 4 p.m. in Founders Hall is the 118th performance of Handel’s “Messiah,” by the Bluffton Choral Society.
On Monday, Dec. 9, Bluffton school concerts continue.
• 1:30 p.m. – Elementary concert, Bluffton High School gym
• 6 p.m. – Middle school concert, MS, cafetorium
• 7 p.m. – Bluffton HS choral concert, MS cafetorium
Wednesday, Dec. 11
• 8:30 a.m. – Bluffton HS concert choir performs during the senior citizen breakfast in the cafetorium
Monday, Dec. 16
• 6 p.m. – Middle school string and band concert, MS cafetorium
• 7 p.m. – Bluffton HS strings and band concert, MS cafetorium
Bluffton Public Library
Monday, Dec. 9 – Dulcimer Gatherin’, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Elementary concert Dec. 9
The largest concert of the season is the “standing room only” performance in the Bluffton High School gymnasium involving Bluffton elementary musicians from kindergarten to fifth grade.
This year’s popular concert includes 20 musical selections. An attachment at the bottom of this story includes the elementary concert program.
