BFR announces youth sport classes starting week of Jan. 9
BFR Youth Sport Classes start the week of January 9
The next session of sport skill and pre-school programs offered by BFR Sports and Fitness will feature basketball, dodgeball, football, soccer volleyball, swim and tennis options, according to Carole Enneking, BFR director.
Youth in grades Kindergarten through grade 3 will learn fundamental sport skills in basketball (Thursdays 3:30-4:30 PM), football (Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 PM), and soccer (U7 Fun is held on Thursdays 4:30-5:15 PM and U9 Training is held on Mondays, 4-5:15 PM). Volleyball Skills & Drills is offered to girls in grades 3-6 who wish to develop their fundamental skills; the correct time for this program is 4-5 PM on Wednesdays.
A beginner Tennis group for youth in grades 2-6 will be offered on Tuesdays from 3:15-4 PM; van service is available from Bluffton Schools for this and other BFR programs. Informal Dodgeball Play will resume on Friday, January 10 and continue weekly. Participants can sign up for 7 weeks ($15) or drop-in for $3 per week.
Younger children are welcome to join the Rookie All Sports program that meets on Tuesdays 4:30-5:15 PM and offers children a chance to experience a different sporteach week. Tiny Tots, a 30-minute parent-child activity class, will introduce a Wednesday session (10-10:30AM) for new participants age 15 months to 4 years.
Youth swim lessons will begin on Thursday, Jan. 16. Since these programs vary in price and length, contact BFR by calling 419-358-4150 or visiting the website www.bfronline.com for moreinformation. Registration is available by phone, as well.
