Jeff Ray was guitarist with Jersey Boys, Las Vegas; mother lives in Bluffton
Jeff Ray, 43, died as the result of an accident Jan. 18, 2014, in Seattle, Wash. He was born in Toledo, April 19, 1970.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Chumbley Lora, and stepfather, Ronald Lora of Bluffton, his father, Roger D. Ray, and stepmother Katarina Ruedi Ray, of Toledo, his sister, Leah Ray, and her husband, Kevin Grzyb, of Chicago, his aunt, Jan Turbeville, of Little Rock, Ark., and a nephew, Dexter Ray Grzyb, of Chicago.
Ray lived in Las Vegas, Nev., where he was a guitarist with Jersey Boys, Las Vegas, as well as with other performance groups through Dustree Productions. He was a graduate of Ottawa Hills High School, Toledo, received his bachelor's degree from Ohio State University in English and Music and his master's from Rutgers University in Music.
There will be a celebration of his life in Las Vegas at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com. Arrangements are by Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton.
