Betty Walters 1932-2014
Betty J. Walters, 81, of Mt. Cory died at 10:30 am Jan. 31, 2014, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born Oct. 20, 1932, in Heidelberg, Miss., to the late Walter and Della Davenport. She was married to Robert F. Walters who preceded her in death.
She worked in the housekeeping department at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
She is survived by four daughters, Sue (Leo) Oliver of Findlay, Deborah (Wayne) Welch of Mt. Cory, Kathleen (John) Nussbaum of Tucson, Ariz., Robin Kay (R.J. Cowdery)Walters of Columbus, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Jo Wilson, an infant daughter, Penny Walters and four brothers, Pete and Billy Merrill and Mac and Willy Davenport.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. William Herr will officiate. Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery, Mt. Cory.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Memorial Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
