Luke Franz, McDonald's manager, wins Outstanding General Manager Award
Bluffton McDonald’s manager, Luke Franz, has been recognized nationally and is receiving the Outstanding General Manager Award.
The McDonald’s Outstanding General Manager Award is an annual national honor given to managers that have exhibited superior results in selected areas of performance, including quality, service, sales, cleanliness and operational excellence. The award recognizes up to 10 percent of top restaurant managers across the United States.
“I’m surprised and grateful for the award. My crew and managers work every day to deliver a great customer experience. It’s an honor to receive recognition of our hard work,” said Franz.
Franz has been the general manager of the Bluffton McDonald’s since July 2013. Before joining the Bluffton McDonald’s team, he was a general manager at the McDonald’s in Beaverdam. Franz has also served other roles, having spent the last 23 years with McDonald’s. He started in 1991 as a crewperson in Upper Sandusky.
Franz is not the only one in the family with a passion for McDonald’s. “We have ketchup in our veins,” says Franz, whose wife, Tammy Franz, general manager of the Upper Sandusky McDonald’s, was also awarded with the Outstanding General Manager Award. She has worked at the Upper Sandusky McDonald’s since 1992, where she started as a crewperson.
“Being honored with the Outstanding General Manager Award is a true testament to Luke and Tammy’s commitment to excellence. They take care of our customers’ needs each and every day,” said Jerry Lewis, local McDonald’s owner/operator. “We are proud to have Luke and Tammy as part of our McDonald’s family.”
