Michael Raines owned Raines Quality Homes
Michael S. Raines, 51, died on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at 8:03 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems, Lima.
He was born on January 28, 1963 in Lima, Ohio to James C. and Marilyn (Jacomet) and they preceded him in death. On June 29, 1985 he married Patricia Zimmerly and she survives in Ada.
Mr. Raines worked for Busy B Realty and owned Raines Quality Homes. He attended Sugar Grove United Methodist Church of Ada. He also worked as the secretary for the church. He was a former Scout Master for Ada Troop 124, and a member of the National Association of Realtors, Ohio Association of Realtors, West Central Association of Realtors, Heartland Board of Realtors and the Ada Music Boosters.
Also surviving are a son, Jamie (Amanda) Raines of Ada; a daughter, Samantha (Sean Beck) Raines of Ada; a granddaughter, Lily; a brother, Steven (Kelli) Raines of Canton, Georgia.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16, at Sugar Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Courtnie Morton and Rev. Philip Compton officiating.
Music and Fellowship will begin at 3 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Michael Raines Memorial Fund C/O Sugar Grove United Methodist Church at 4945 State Route 81, Ada, Ohio 45810.
