Pandora Missionary holds March Mad Dash 5K
Pandora Missionary Church will be holding its first-ever March Mad Dash 5K & 1-mile Run/Walk on March 15, 2014. The one mile fitness run/walk starts at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K at 9:30 a.m.
“Our ultimate goal for the funds raised from this event is to bring more family-friendly, Christian-based entertainment and programming to the community. Last year, we hosted Christian music artist, J.J. Heller, in concert. We hope to continue that vision by bringing more Christian music artists, comedians, and speakers to the area,” explained Dan Gratz, coordinator of the event.
In addition, a portion of the proceeds raised from this event will be donated to a local family in need of financial assistance. “We live in a very caring community and our congregation is always looking for ways to reach out and serve others in need. We’re excited about the race and to see what God is going to do through it!” said Gratz.
Registrations are being accepted now and must be received by March 1, 2014 to get the discounted rate of $20 and be guaranteed a race day shirt and goodie bag. Late registrations will be accepted, however the cost will be $25 and late registrants will not be guaranteed a race day shirt or goodie bag.
5K participants will be eligible for prizes awarded to the first place overall male and female finishers; as well as the top male and female runners in each age category. Prizes and awards are sponsored by Sprunger Insurance Agency and Riley Creek Pharmacy.
