Matt Schroeder author of "The Rest is Up to You," has March 1 book signing
Matt Schroeder, author of "The Rest is Up to You," will have a book signing at Book Reviews, 123 S. Main St., Bluffton, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 1, according to Christina Walton, store manager.
Schroeder's book tells a compelling story of his horrific car accident on black ice, his severe injuries, and his long road to recovery and triumph.
In his words: “I was once in a serious auto accident with many major broken bones and vertebrae in my neck, capped off with traumatic brain injury, followed by more than 10 weeks of coma. I’ve fully recovered even though 'experts' told me I’d never walk. Family is a very big deal in my life. It always was and is now, and they visited, talked to, and were by my side for more than ten years of recovery. Now I have a master’s degree from the Ohio State University, and I speak clearly, walk, run, jump, and drive!”
Schroeder met with Christopher Reeve, a.k.a. Superman, on the evening before his bachelor’s degree commencement on June 13, 2003. This encounter is revisited during his presentation.
Schroeder is a keynote or motivational and inspirational speaker. He is available to speak for assemblies, gatherings or banquets. Typically Schroeder speaks to sports teams, schools, churches, youth groups, or anywhere people would like some motivation and inspiration.
