Joyce Wymer, 1957-2014
Joyce Ann Wymer, 56, died Friday, March 7, 2014 at 11:00 p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
She was born on October 15, 1957 in Lima to E. Jack and Marilyn (Mason) Goldsmith. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Wapakoneta. On June 15, 1974, she married B. Keith Wymer and he survives in Alger.
Joyce was an LPN at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima for eight years. She previously worked at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
Joyce was a member of the Harrod Christian Church where she had been director of the Vacation Bible School and a Sunday School teacher. She was a 4-H advisor for 38 years and was a superintendant at the Allen County Junior Fair, Fine Arts Department.
Also surviving are a son, Nathan Wymer of LaFayette; three daughters, Rochelle J. (Mike) Wymer Conrad of Harrod, Leslie D. Wymer of Bristol, Conn., and Lindsey S. (Aaron) Thompson of Alger; six grandchildren, Makenzie, Jackson, Logan, Mason, Lauren, and Griffin; one great granddaughter, Lexi; three brothers, Derrol (Dawn) Goldsmith of Orlando, Fla., Dennis (Cheryl) Goldsmith of Harrod, and Robert (Cindy) Goldsmith of Harrod; a sister, Teresa (Randall) Plaugher of Wapakoneta; and a sister-in-law, Bev (Dave) Bazill of Lima.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Goldsmith; a half brother, Neil Mason; and father and mother-in-law, Dick and Eileen Wymer.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Gary Rummel officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Westminster.
Friends may call 2-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
