Good Friday procession of the cross starts at 11:30 a.m.
Bluffton's annual ecumenical Good Friday procession with the cross and an ecumenical service is scheduled for Good Friday, April 18, and will again be sponsored by the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association.
The procession with the cross will begin at St. Mary Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m.
The order of the procession will be:
• St. Mary's Catholic Church
• St. John’s United Church of Christ
• English Lutheran
• Bluffton Presbyterian
• First Mennonite and finally
• First United Methodist.
The cross will stop at each church for a prayer led by the pastor or member of that church. The public is invited to join in for all or any part of the procession and to help carry the cross.
The ecumenical Good Friday service will begin at First United Methodist Church at noon. The theme of the service this year is “Stained.” The public is invited to join in this service also.
