Support the May 6 Bluffton school levy
Vote Yes on May 6th!
Bluffton Schools will be asking for a renewal of the existing levy. This is a five year fixed-amount emergency levy.
The 4.9 mills will generate $714,392.00 which will be placed in the general fund and used for operating expenses. Bluffton diligently and carefully maintains budget management, spending $2200 less per pupil than the state average and still continuing the highest quality of education for our students. However, State cuts of $1.2 million have occurred during the past four years since the previous levy, resulting in the loss of 8 teaching positions and 4 bus drivers. In spite of the cuts, Bluffton has remained strong and upheld a rating of Excellent, ranking in the top 6% of the performance index for the state of Ohio, thanks in part to excellent teachers and the support of fine and dedicated families.
Voting yes for Bluffton Exempted Village Schools will insure the high standards this community has held so proudly over several generations. Our children deserve the best, so we must be sure their dreams of the education their parents and grandparents experienced continues for them.
Thank you from 1,205 Bluffton students who are depending on you to help continue the excellence.
