Volunteers recognized; Hospital Auxiliary presents $18,000 check to hospital
Can you believe it: 9,132 hours of volunteer time donated to Bluffton Hospital in 2013.
The Bluffton Hospital Auxiliary held its annual volunteer recognition banquet April 28 at The Centre of Bluffton. More than 50 volunteers were recognized for their hours of service to the hospital.
During the event, the Auxiliary presented Bluffton Hospital with an $18,000 check. The funds were raised throughout 2013 through gift shop sales, vending machine sales, the annual Colorama bowling fundraiser and other fundraisers.
Entertainment for the event was provided by local square dancers. A Bluffton Hospital update was also provided by Chief Administrative Officer Chris Keller, and an Auxiliary update was given by Auxiliary President Marty Lemley.
