Let's see what's on the public library calendar in May
Bluffton Public Library is a busy place in May. Here is a list of some of this month's activities:
• Wednesday, May 7, marks the first day of the annual Friends of the Bluffton Public Library Book Sale. This event will continue until Saturday, May 10. See hours on our website. Lower Level Meeting Room.
• World Fair-Trade Day is May 10 and to celebrate, our display case will exhibit fair trade items for the month of May!
• A Marketplace/Medicaid Assistance Navigator is available for one-on-one meetings May 14 and May 28 (both Wednesdays) by appointment only. Call the library at (419)358-5016 or stop in during library hours to claim a time slot.
• Wednesdays, May 14 and May 28 Middle Schoolers may eat, read, and chill during Browsing Ink. Lower Level Meeting Room.
• Beginning on May 14, Yoga by the BFR starts meeting on Wednesdays at 6:30. Lower Level Meeting Room.
• Thursday, May 15 at 6:00 p.m. we will be Jammin' @ the Library. This is a time for acoustic musicians to share their love of music. Lower Level Meeting Room.
• Monday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m., Doug Adams will perform music at the library. This is open to all ages, but the folk singer plans to incorporate children into his performance as well. Main Level.
• Tuesday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m. Yarn Circle, join fellow knitters and crocheters while you work on our current project, or get some help from our host, Kimberly Hansen of Etsy's YarninCozy. Please call (419)358-5016 or register at the circulation desk.
• Storytime (Ages 3 to 5): Visit Storytime on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. or Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m.
• Fizz, Boom, Read – Registration for the Summer Reading Program 2014 will be on Saturday 7th June 2014. Get ready for a explosive summer program.
• Many people have been inquiring about Brain Builders our new LEGO program.This will kick off as part of Fizz Boom Read, Summer Reading Program 2014. Join us for building challenges on Wednesday, June 25 and Wednesday, July 16, at 11 a.m. Jr. Brain Builders will replace our Wee Ones Program. It will be a time for stories and imaginative play, promoting the development of fine motor skills in children aged 1-3. Join us on Thursday June 12, and July 10 at 10:30 a.m.
• Reminder: The library will close May 26 for Memorial Day and due dates are adjusted accordingly.
