On a summer day 69 years ago in Bluffton

Just when we think we've seen every classic old photo of Bluffton, a new one like this appears.
It's from the July 1945 Triplett Electrical Instrument newsletter. The identification of the Triplett employees is on the photo. Sorry, the youth in the picture are not identified, but our guess is that they would be in the late 70s or early 80s today.
Can you identify the location of this photo? Believe it or not, it is the site of Bluffton's first-ever swimming pool, cira 1920s. It is between the Triplett parking lot and Harmon Field.
The village created a cement dam with an overflow. Also, the sides of the creek were blocked off with flagstone. The pool was no longer used for official swimming in 1945, but the framework of the pool still existed.
And, let's think a moment about the photographer. Was the person who took this photo standing mid-stream? Or was there a bank where the photo was taken.
