McDonald’s invites community to participate in ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Social media’s latest social and philanthropic phenomenon has made its way to Bluffton, right into the doors of the Bluffton McDonald’s.
What has started as a simple challenge to the Lewis family has turned into a company- and community-wide event. Participants of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge include McDonald’s owner/operator, Jerry Lewis, director of operations, Scott Shaw, general manager, Luke Franz, company supervisors, managers, and crew, and members of the Bluffton community.
The Bluffton McDonald’s will complete its ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 5 p.m. at the Bluffton McDonald’s. All community members are invited to attend. While everyone is invited to participate, and no response is necessary, an RSVP to [email protected] will help McDonald’s know how much ice and water to have ready for the event.
In addition to completing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Lewis Family McDonald’s will make a contribution to the ALS Association and provide spectators and participants with information on how to make their own donation to the organization.
