Sand artist Castillo open University Artist Series Sept. 25
Tickets are still available for the opening performance in the 2014-15 Bluffton University Artist Series, by sand artist Joe Castillo at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, in Yoder Recital Hall.
A finalist on “America’s Got Talent,” Castillo has developed a way of telling stories that uses sand art, a light table and music. His experience in advertising—where he spent 20 years—as well as in art led him to become a motivational performing artist. He is a graduate of Florida Bible College and Asbury Theological Seminary.
Reserved seats are $25 for adults, $20 for senior citizens and non-Bluffton students and $10 for children ages 6-13. Children ages 5 and under are admitted free. Tickets are available on the Web, athttp://tickets.bluffton.edu, or in person at the box office—now located at the Marbeck Center information desk—between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. daily.
Season tickets for the five performances in the Artist Series are also available, at $80 for adults and $70 for senior citizens and non-Bluffton students. A family pass is $55 with the purchase of any season ticket and admits all children in the family ages 6-18.
