Helping hands from university students
Lawrence Matthews (left), adviser to SERVE, a Bluffton University service group, hands a can of paint to Owen Lugibihl while Bailey Short looks on Sept. 16 at Book ReViews, a Bluffton bookstore. Lugibihl, a Bluffton junior from Pandora, Ohio, and Short, a first-year student from Archbold, Ohio, were among 20 student SERVE volunteers who painted, washed windows and organized shelves and books at the Main Street business for several hours. Book ReViews sells donated books and magazines, among other items, and gives most of its profits to support the worldwide relief work of Mennonite Central Committee.
