Watkins named HCAC Player of the Week
BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University freshman Jordan Watkins (Reynoldsburg) contributed eight points in Bluffton's 20-14 win over Hanover on Homecoming and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on special teams for his work on Saturday.
Freshman kicker Jordan Watkins nailed both of his field goal attempts and went 2-of-2 on extra points as he helped Bluffton to its first win over Hanover since 2005 and just the second in Bluffton's last 20 games against the Panthers. He connected from 29 and 31 yards, the decisive points in a 20-14 win.
The Beavers travel to Rose-Hulman on Saturday, Oct. 11 for a 1:30 matchup with the Engineers following Coach Dorrel's first victory at the helm.
