Children's author has book signing and reading at Book ReViews Nov. 1
Book Reviews will host a book signing and reading from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 1, for Candace L. Newland’s book "Pekoe," which was published in February.
Newland’s book, written for children, focuses on an abandoned kitten and its journey to find a home. The story is pulled from the author’s personal experience with pets, acceptance, and disabilities. "Pekoe" is a “story of compassion and acceptance, challenge and courage,” according to Dr. Christina Walton, manager of Book ReView.
Newland is an author from west central Ohio who shares her home with a menagerie of pets. A portion of the profits from the sale of "Pekoe" will be used to support local rescue missions.
