Photos of long-time Bluffton photographer Leland Gerber on exhibit at MMH
A collection of family and individual portraits from the 1950s to 1970s taken by long-time Bluffton photographer, Leland Gerber, is on display in the third floor gallery at Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton.
Gerber owned a photo studio on South Main Street, Bluffton, during the 1950s-70s era. Most class photos of Bluffton elementary students from this era were taken by Gerber.
The collection of prints, most of which are 18 by 24, are in excellent condition. The collection includes childhood photos, graduation portraits, wedding pictures and other settings. There are also photos of churches, community buildings and nature scenes.
The exhibit is open to the public.. Any photo that someone has a personal connection with can be taken at no cost. The photos will be displayed through Dec. 31 or until they are all taken.
