Jazz ensemble, gospel choir to perform Nov. 15
Bluffton University’s Jazz Ensemble and Gospel Choir will present a concert at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, in Yoder Recital Hall. The performance is free and open to the public; an offering will be taken during intermission for music scholarships.
Dr. Adam Schattschneider, professor of music, directs the 18-member Jazz Ensemble, which will perform seven numbers. Members of the ensemble will also assist the Gospel Choir on one of its seven numbers, “Hallelujah, You’re Worthy.” Dr. Crystal Sellers Battle, assistant professor of music, conducts the choir, which includes 34 voices from the campus and community. Among its accompanists will be Battle’s brother, Wesley Sellers, on drums.
