Bluffton churches planning special Christmas Eve services
The Icon is aware of the following Christmas eve church services in the Bluffton area.

Bluffton Baptist
A Christmas Eve service begins at 5:30 p.m. The church is located at 345 County Line Road.
English Lutheran
A family candlelight service of holy communion will begin at 7 p.m., with the children present helping with an interactive re-telling of the Christmas story. A festival candlelight service of lessons and carols with holy communion will begin at 11 p.m. The English Lutheran Church is located at 111 Grove St., Bluffton. First Mennonite
First Mennonite Church invites all to attend their candlelight Christmas Eve service scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24. The service will include vocal and instrumental music, scripture, candlelighting, and carol singing. First Mennonite is located at 101 S. Jackson St., Bluffton.
Bluffton Presbyterian
Bluffton Presbyterian Church, 112 N. Main St., will have a carol-filled night on Christmas Eve. The 7 p.m. worship service will be a candlelight service of lessons and carols.
Preceding the service (6:30 p.m.), will be a Prelude of Carols, featuring the “Wonder of Worship” young women’s chorus, and “Presbyterian Polyphony,” an adult ensemble. The prelude will feature solo verses by Danielle and Samantha Rhonemus, Sarah Gillen and Megan Sycks, various instrumental contributions by Dave Sycks, Jane Sycks, Emily Sycks, and Bob Hursh, keyboards by Pastor Dave, percussion by Tanya Best and vocal solos by Julia Szabo and Don Brauen.
During the service the Bluffton Church Choir will sing, under the direction of Linda Sycks, with Jayne McGarrity on piano and organ, as well as oboe solo by Jerry Szabo, and “O Holy Night,” sung by Julia Szabo.
St. Mary's Catholic

December 24, 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Pandora United Methodist Church
Pandora United Methodist Church invites everyone to a candlelight service of lessons and carols at 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Music begins one-half hour prior. Nursery is available. The church is at 108 E. Wasington St. (Route 12), Pandora.
Pleasant View and Mt. Cory United Methodist
A Christmas Eve Service for Pleasant View and Mount Cory United Methodist Churches will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, at Mount Cory UM, 300 N. Main St, Mount Cory. Come to celebrate “Christ’s Birth” with an evening of Christmas carols, special music by the handbell choir and joint choir, scripture, and communion. The service will be led by Pastor Mark Fuerstenau.
Trinity Lutheran, Jenera
Pre-service music on Wednesday Dec. 24, will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by "Children of the Heavenly Father" at 7 p.m. A Christmas day service will begin at 9:30 a.m. The choir and handbell choir will perform. The public is welcome at all services and the church is handicapped accessible. More information is available at http://tlcjenera.org.
